Murray Epstein, M.B.A.
Beginning his Real Estate career in mortgage finance in New York City in 1985, Murray Epstein worked for a small boutique real estate finance firm in Manhattan for seven years until he co-founded Epstein Canarick Corp. with Jeffrey Canarick in 1992.
Mr. Epstein received an MBA in finance from Baruch College and a BA from the University of Maryland. In addition, he is a graduate of the Preparatory Department of the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD. A classical and jazz pianist, Mr. Epstein enjoys horseback riding, freshwater fishing, and has backpacked extensively throughout North America. Mr. Epstein lives on Long Island, NY.
Jeffrey Canarick, J.D.
Jeff Canarick began his Real Estate career in Mortgage Finance in New York City in 1983 after obtaining his law degree in 1982. Mr. Canarick is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
Mr. Canarick lives on Long Island, NY with his wife and has three grown children. He is a licensed pilot, enjoys skiing, boating, scuba diving and kite boarding and is extensively involved in charitable activities.
Messrs. Epstein and Canarick have advised real estate clients on all types of financial transactions involving every part of the capital stack. They have been actively engaged in the origination, structuring, placement and closing of debt and equity. Epstein Canarick has sourced financing from life insurance companies, pension funds, commercial banks, private equity and conduits (CMBS). The property types include shopping centers, office buildings, industrials, hotels and apartments. The company, from a debt perspective, has provided advisory services relating to construction loans, interim, mezzanine, preferred equity and permanent financing. Epstein Canarick closes transactions nationally with an emphasis on the mid-Atlantic and North Eastern states.
